1962 Ford Thunderbird 6.4 V8 - American Icon That Could Soon Be Yours

The 1962 Thunderbird "Bullet Bird" represents the peak of Ford's third-generation Thunderbird (1961–1963). This was the same body style selected as the official Indy 500 Pace Car and used by Presidents John F. Kennedy and Gerald Ford. Designed for the "personal luxury" market, it combined V8 power, comfort and unmistakable 1960s American styling.

The original 390 V8 engine was professionally rebuilt in Sweden by the previous owner and runs flawlessly. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly and the car drives exactly as it should. There are no known mechanical issues – simply get in and enjoy.
This is not a freshly restored concours show car, but a very honest and well-preserved 64-year-old classic. The body is solid, with no major rust problems. As with any original classic of this age, close inspection reveals small imperfections, but from a few metres away the car looks stunning and attracts attention everywhere it goes. Anyone seeking true show-level condition may eventually choose to repaint or further restore the body, but it can be proudly enjoyed exactly as it is today.
The interior is remarkably well preserved. Seats and carpets are in good condition, all trim pieces are present, and nothing important is missing. The dashboard has some cracks, which is a common issue on this generation of Thunderbird. Power windows, power driver's seat, lights, gauges and electrical systems work properly.
The car is complete, reliable and ready to drive. All glass, chrome trim, mouldings and exterior details are present and intact. New whitewall tyres.

I have genuinely enjoyed owning this Thunderbird and every drive has been a pleasure. The only reason for selling is that I recently purchased another Thunderbird with collector plates. Unfortunately, I cannot drive two Thunderbirds at the same time.
